I met a guy once: young, good-looking, built like a Greek god. And a completely stupid short haircut, which gave him a slightly dorky dashing look and visually reduced his head a lot. I looked at him and didn’t understand, can’t men see that many people are almost always better off with their hair? It’s not about braids or shoulder-length, it’s just that there should be hair on the head to frame the face somehow, like a picture frame. Why do men cut their hair so short? Is it laziness, following stereotypes about what a macho man should look like, or do they just not care?
It seems to me that when you really like a person, you don’t care what his haircut is and you respect his tastes in the first place. My husband is African-American and when I first met him, he was bald because he liked it. After a while, he started wearing braids for black men and changed for the better. I saw him handsome in every way.
I’m interested in your opinion, but even with all the love for a person, it will be important to me how he looks. That’s why I wrote this post.
