I’m currently paying the bulk of my loans on IBR through Direct Loans. One of my loans just came out of in-school deferment. I’d like to add it to my Direct Loans through consolidation, but I’m worried about what that will do. Will it kick me off IBR? Will I have to apply again? Could I lose IBR? Also, I realized that my Grad Plus loans are eligible. I hadn’t realized that before. Is it too late to consolidate all of these together? I’m so scared of losing IBR on my major loans that I’d almost rather just pay the higher amount.

I find myself very much in the same boat! I seems that I am dug in pretty deep. I have been having to pull payday loans to pay my loans so that I can pull more loans. I am in way over my head here. Would anyone have any suggestions on some options that I may have to free myself from this vicious cycle? I really need to be able to finish school, and at this point, I am really not sure where else I can turn for more loans. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thank you!
