Fedloan servicing botching PSLF numbers

It seems they can’t get anything right, even after everything has been fixed.

I worked with an Ombudsman beginning of this year to get my account corrected. PSLF numbers were not right, as they did not count two of my payments that they should have. Ombudsman corrected it, and they fixed it. A few months later, they apparently did an audit and I saw my PSLF count go two higher than what I really had (I assume they made a system-wide correction to fix the mistake I brought up, and failed to offset the correction they already made to my account). I called to correct, and the reps were certain it was “correct”. So nothing changed for awhile, checked my account last week and it still showed two higher than I really had. However, yesterday, 7 months later, they dropped my total by about 6 payments without explanation. I called and they claimed my account was in overpaid status in 2014 and so some payments didn’t count. Well, this was news to me, as I never had any notice I overpaid, and always gave the amount requested on the website (I’m not on auto-debit). I have been on IBR since the start and my payments month to month never varied and were always on time. Now it is under “review”.....

Has anyone else encountered any Fedloan shenanigans lately? I have a feeling they are rushing to audit all accounts before the first forgiveness happens in October 2017, and they are botching the audit just like they’ve botched everything else.
