There are definitely some negatives about rs3’s strategy, however I find the entire benefits to be well worth it. Also for your points about agility and law runes, agility is still quite useful for shortcuts and normal teleports are useful for things like farm runs.Energy and stamina potions and agility devalue each other. You are able to binge on endurance or energy potions without needing to train Ability in OSRS. Thus, obtaining a top agility degree is more worthwhile in RS3 than in OSRS.

I’m honestly still unsure that OSRS is anything more than the outdated game that’s surviving entirely on nostalgia. It’s Runescape the way it looked like in its peak and people would rather return to what they remember. Ok not completely nostalgia. After all, OSRS was made solely because of player backlash when EoC had been introduced. After I sent my laptop over for repair I downloaded osrs on ipad (because rs3 isn’t yet on ios) I got same sense (run fast off energy, no teleports lodestone. I did 2 very simple quests which in normal situations will take 15min every time they took just like 1.30hr just for WALKING forth and back from Lumbridge to Draynor. It was soooo annoying so I deleted it.

Relatively speaking, run energy in osrs represents exactly the exact same functional experience as surge does in rs3. Not exactly. Surging needs more APM than simply clicking on a tile to run to it in addition to exact timing to travel efficiently.

The majority of attributes from any sport are intended.The community is composed largely of nostalgic players and purists who shy away from anything that makes the game more accessible to others. Their decisions are not necessarily going to be great for anyone besides themselves.
