Why does it seem that religion and sexual liberalism are diametrically opposed?

I noticed the following. Again, I’m not saying that this is the case, but rather that it could be:
Religious people: At first I thought religion was about providing beliefs for a potential afterlife, as well as a code of honor to follow. For example, “do not cheat and do not steal”, as a form of “civic education”. Although it seems that this applies to these areas of life. It also seems that religion cares a lot about sexuality. For example, I studied Francisco Franco’s Spain and noticed that when he ruled the country, they wanted to get rid of pornography, sexuality, sex outside marriage, prostitution, etc.
Sexual liberal people: It seems that when Franco ended his reign, Spanish society began to accept all kinds of sexual liberalism.
I could go on and on. However, it seems to me that these two people are “natural rivals”.

It is very unpleasant for me to look at the lack of education of the people who wrote above, who compared religion with fascism, communism, sexism, etc. Let’s immediately indicate that religion is not equal to faith in God. Religion is an apparatus for controlling the masses of people, no more! Faith is rather freedom, that is, a person voluntarily gives himself into the hands of the Lord, and this means liberation from a sinful life, that is, true freedom! Yes, sex before the wedding or promiscuous sex is forbidden in the Bible, but with your beloved wife you can do anything in bed, no one has the right to forbid you. It’s up to you to decide whether it’s freedom or prohibition, but the Bible clearly says this. Perhaps I somehow incorrectly explained, you can ask your question here https://firstchurchlove.com I am sure that you will find the answer. Good luck to you!
