In the end, there’s no reason for you to build any level of skill before moving to membership. Training every skill is much simpler when you have the membership. For lower level skills it is easier to find less skilling areas. For more advanced skills, you have more options to develop. If it is an option to join, do it now.
If you’re limited in membership time , I would strongly recommend increasing magic and melee combat stats. Combat lets you take on more tasks in general, such as skilling in hazardous areas. Magic is extremely beneficial for Teleports to cut down on massive amounts on travel.
Agreed with above, but you can make lots of money, maybe spend most of your time making money. Money is incredibly difficult to make f2p unless your staking (Which is difficult to obtain kills, yet you can make millons in an hour).
It’s all about your individual preference. There is only one thing that stands out. All others can be trained significantly more quickly in the member areas, however. I waited for a long time before joining the guild because I was convinced that my level of combat and abilities weren’t high enough to justify it. Membership isn’t only for those with high levels though.
If you’re looking to cut costs, you should put off a while, as freeplay has plenty of things to provide. But, do not play because you’ll be thinking of it as an chore due to it. It’s my opinion that if freeplay is no longer enjoyable, then join.
