Thank you for offering this site. I have found a wealth of good information here and on your homepage. I’m wondering about Direct Loan Consolidation. Is it possible to select IBR as a repayment option at the time one submits the DLC application? I read a previous thread on this forum where the poster was not offered the IBR option when applying for DLC. To clarify, all my loans are undergraduate Direct/FFEL Staffords and I finish my program this December and enter the Grace Period. I also realize I may be eligible for the special Jan.-June 2012 DLC.

I’m curious if anyone can share their experiences with processing times; how long did it take to receive DLC and IBR approvals and when is the best time to start the application process? Thanks!
