Hi Heather,
This is Joseph from Columbia (one of the online participants). I had two questions that you weren’t able to get to during our forum, which you told me to post here:
1) If I do loan forgiveness instead of a fixed plan, what monthly payment requirements are there? Can loan forgiveness payments also be income-based?
2) What is the actual definition of a public service job in the governmental and non-profit sectors (and what “other” jobs might fall under this definition)? That is, what is the specific criteria or administrative requirements that determine this?

PSLF is not a repayment plan itself, but to make payments that qualify toward forgiveness, a borrower has to make payments under specific repayment plans, most typically IBR.
