Do you know if there has been a determination on whether or not an international clerkship will qualify for PSLF? Additionally, do you know how long it takes for the employment certification to process? What does one do if their employeer has not been certified by the time they begin work?

It’s not entirely clear, but I have heard from one borrower whose international employment was deemed NOT to qualify.  From what we can tell that is based on the employer’s lack of a federal Employment Identification Number or EIN.  I don’t think that ought to be the only consideration and we’re working on getting some more info and maybe some test cases.  Can you email me directly with more detail?  My email address is .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
