I recently sent my tax forms into the Dept of Ed to have my IBR payment recalculated for the coming year.  I got a note back specifying the new amount, and telling me that my repayment plan was being classified as “Income Based Repayment Hardship Plan.”  Is this the same as IBR (i.e. where did the “hardship” come from- will these payments still count toward forgiveness)?  I know this is a nitty-gritty detail, but I just wanted to ask to be sure.
