Hello -

I graduated law school in 2006. I began working in the public sector shortly there after and have been in the field for 5 years or so. My loans are currently consolidated with ACS as Federal Consolidated Stafford Loans. Is there anything I can do to count my 5 years of payments even though they were not direct loans? I am in the process now of transferring them to direct consolidated loans but I am sad to waste my 5 years of public interest work. Any suggestions?
