I was recently married to my beautiful wife during March of this year and along with her came about 70K or so of student loans.  I believe there is some subsidized, unsubsidized, and a masters plus?  In any case, she has been struggling to find a job in social work (her area of concentration for her masters degree) but because of our dual income as a couple, we are being forced to start making payments.

I currently work in a public high school that has a high population of low-income student families.  Our free and reduced lunch numbers are near 50% this year.  This is my fifth year.

My question is… since I have essentially inherited this student loan debt…  Can I take advantage of the PSLF program in order to reduce or cancel the outstanding balance?
