Hello. I worked for two years in a qualifying public interest job, but my loan servicer tells me that I have only qualified for 10 months of payments and cannot retroactively provide me credit for the time served.

I believe I submitted all of my paperwork when I began working, but the loan servicer took several months to process it.

I also did not know I had to re-submit my paperwork after my first year and by the time I had it processed, several more months went by.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? Is there anyway to retroactively get credit for the addition 14 months I served in a public interest job? The loan servicer tells me I am out of luck.
