I’m currently in school and I’m awaiting my financial aid funds to be deposited into a personal account like it’s been for the entire time I’ve been at school. I have student loans which pay for my tuition and yet it looks like money has been taken from my FA funds to pay for my classes, even though I have plenty in my student loans! I never authorized this and I can’t get in touch with the student services/financial aid person in the school to talk about this, so I’m just wondering if it’s even possible to do or if I’m just reading my statement wrong.

Normally the school credits all sources of aid, including both grants and loans, to a student’s account and posts the institutional charges (like tuition and fees, sometimes health insurance) to the account.  To the extent that any credit balance remains, that is disbursed to the student for living expenses.  You’re right to contact the school financial aid office to get more information.
