UPDATE: I just spoke with a representative at FedLoan Servicing who said a qualifying payment can arrive up to 30 days before a payment is due and up to 15 days after a payment is due. What a relief!

First, thanks in advance for any help. I’ve been reading through this forum, and it’s a wonderful resource.
In mid-October, my student loans were transferred to FedLoan Servicing after I submitted an Employment Certification Form, and I’m currently working with the Student Loan Ombudsman to have the October payment I made to my previous servicer correctly applied to my account. I believe this situation will be resolved soon, but I’m now left with a more pressing concern.
The Ombudsman told me that FedLoan had told her that payments made sooner than 15 days before the due date in a given month do not count toward PSLF. I asked where I could find this information in writing and she referred me to studentloans.gov’s pages on PSLF, but I haven’t been able to find this information there.
Has anyone else heard that payments must be made no sooner than 15 days before a payment is due, so that if your payment is due on the 28th, for instance, you must make each month’s payment between the 13th and the 28th for it to count toward PSLF?
Again, thanks for your help!
