Recently fed loan servicing assured me I would be able to submit a new ibr recertification as a married filing separately when I do my 2014 taxes and that I would submit this as a change in circumstance. My recent recertification last month was married filing jointly which made my and my wifes payments very high and unmanageable.  I would be doing this early as my recertification isn’t due again until November of 2015.  My only question would be is this valid?  Will they allow me to submit again to have my income calculated as married filing separately even if it is early?
