I am exploring the potential of taking legal action against my private loan lender for breach of contract during collection activity several years ago. While I am exploring legal action and finding the right lawyer, if I am making payments on the account in question, could I create a conflict for any legal pursuits? Admitting “ownership of debt” by making payments? I’m trying to avoid my loans defaulting while I’m “getting my ducks in a row”.
