For 2013, my husband and I filed separately for student loan purposes. When I recertified in February, I put that we were filing separately. However, it now looks like we will file together since we can claim our child care deductions, etc and get a pretty substantial return. My question is do I need to recertify early and state that i filed married filing jointly or can I just wait until it’s time for my yearly recertification? Thanks!
