I’ve been trying to follow the rulemaking procedures for the expansion of PAYE. I noticed the proposal agreed to by the rulemaking committee does not mention PSLF at all. I want to transfer to REPAYE when it becomes available, but only if it doesn’t mess up my PSLF (almost 5 years in). There was a lot of discussion about including a PSLF cap in the REPAYE plan and I’m wondering how significant it is that it’s not there. Now that the rulemaking committee has reached consensus on the proposal that doesn’t include a PSLF cap, can the cap still be added to it? What are the next steps here? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
