DEAR HEATHER:
I believe I read in one of your forums, you said only W-2’s count and not 1099 self-employed, towards P.S.L.F qualified employment. It seems confusing regarding licensed health care professionals, and a licensed reverend, especially the interpretation according to their web site so I wanted to make triple sure here.
So here is my situation; I am a self -employed certified licensed health care professional in private practice, but currently not a W-2 employee.
Question 1. But the P.S.L.F.web site said or a “full time professionals engaged in health care practitioner occupations and health care support according to “B LS.would qualify for PSLF Qualified employment.
Ok but does that include a full time self employed heath care practitioner in private practice or just a governmental public health care employee? And if so, what supportive documentation is acceptable for the P.S.L.F program? A “1099 or W-2” employee?
I am studying to become a licensed Reverend Partime to start a {501 –c-3 non- profit} outreach ministry as well.
But the P.S.L.F.web site said “It depends on how much of your job is related to religious activities. When determining full time public service employment you may not include time spent participating in religious instruction, worship services, or any form of proselytizing”.
Question 2. Ok so for example: Hypothetical. If my 501 c-3 ministry were a outreach food ministry or other areas not related to the above participating in religious instruction, worship services, or any form of proselytizing” so in your opinion would that be acceptable for P.S.L.F program and again what qualifying documentation do they recognize a 1099 or just a W-2 employee?
Thank you Heather so much for your time for my 2 inquiries:
Blessing in advance
