No. It isn’t possible to repay different portions of a consolidation loan under different repayment plans.
Note: A consolidation loan that repaid a Direct PLUS Loan made to a parent or Federal PLUS Loan made to
a parent may not be repaid under the IBR Plan or the Pay As You Earn Plan, even if the consolidation loan
also repaid one or more eligible loan types. However, a Direct Consolidation Loan made on or after July 1,
2006, that repaid a Direct PLUS Loan made to a parent or Federal PLUS Loan made to a parent may be
repaid under the ICR Plan.
