What to do if I disagree that I am not eligible for PSLF?

Hi. I work in a federally recognized tribe’s cultural resource department. You’d think I’d be eligible for the PSLF program, and the first three years I worked here I was, but recently the folks at myfedloan.org decided I no longer was eligible. Here’s the thing: the cultural resource department for the tribe I work for exists as a for-profit tribal business. We are wholly owned and operated by the tribe, and we provide critical services for the tribal government. All our profits go to the tribal government. It is akin to the Department of Energy’s Bonneville Power Administration. I believe I should be eligible for the PSLF program. I want to petition my case, but I don’t even know how to go about doing that. The people I talk to at myfedloan.org aren’t helpful, just keep telling me I’m not eligible. I’m hoping you can provide some insight on this, and perhaps point me in the right direction to petition my case (if you think I have a case).

Thank you very much!
