I am in Colorado and in the process of purchasing a home. The only issue is that I have an open judgement on my credit from National Collegiate Trust Loan.

The judgement was for $11000 in March of 2011 and was handled by a law firm/collection agency in Denver, CO. I began payment on the judgement in May of 2011 and continued until April of 2014 when the account was closed by the law firm. My records have me paying over $18000 on the account. I had another account from National Collegiate so thats why that is a higher amount.

The law firm refused to to give a me closed letter and I can’t find out any information from National Collegiate is the bill is paid, open and if there is a balance.

In my credit report, there is not mention of any student loan balance from National Collegiate, just the open judgement.

I have spoken to a few student loan “specialists” and they have no idea how to resolve my situation. Any help would be awesome!
