My wife and I have been married for close to 2 years. I am a federal employee who is eligible for PSLF, but due to my income I am not participating in the program since my income-based payment would be so high. My wife also has a public sector job and she is currently under PSLF and has been for several years.

Due to the current regulations, we have to file our income tax separately and that bracket is killing us. My question is, are we able to consolidate our loans so that we have one income-based payment (based on our joint income), and have that joint payment count towards PSLF?
