Hi.

I used to work with a 501c3 in the states for 5 years.  We have partnering NGOs around the world that are registered in their jurisdictions.  I was asked to move to Europe and run the Dutch foundation.  So I no longer work for a 501c3 and realize my IBR loan payments aren’t qualifying.  What’s the best way to handle this situation? Is it common that foreign nonprofits get registered in the US for this purpose?  If we’re still closely affiliated with the US 501c3 would that still count?
