First of all. Good riddance!!!!
I did not complete my education there. I felt it was inadequate education and I was right. I attended back in 2007 and part of 2008. I deferred and did forbearance throughout the years. Figuring out what I wanted to do with my schooling. By the time I figured it out. Navient called me in 2014. They used to be known as Sallie Mae. I didn’t know the statute of limitations regarding my private student loans and I remember paying $120 dollars to Navient. By paying that amount I legally resetted the clock. I should have hung on them but I didn’t.
Now I with interest included I owe $25,000 to Navient. But I was wondering what happens now since ITT Tech is no more?
Looks like you had to be enrolled when they closed or at least enrolled within 120 days prior to their closing to get the loan discharged, and only federal loans are eligible for discharge. http://blog.ed.gov/2016/09/message-secretary-education-itt-students/
First, you need to complete the education.
