I understand that loans forgiven under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program do not qualify as taxable income for the purposes of federal income taxes (therefore a student having loans forgiven under that program would not be taxed on the amount forgiven at the federal level.) However, I was wondering if you happen to know whether the amount forgiven under the federal PSLF would be treated as taxable income for the purposes of state income taxes. (Colorado in particular)
