Republicans Block Cordray, Show Love for Banks

Yesterday, all but one* voting Republican Senator blocked confirmation of Richard Cordray, the well qualified nominee for Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio explained it well when he said that Cordray's opponent's “first loyalty is to Wall Street banks.” *Thanks, Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts.
