3 Things People with Private Student Loans Should Tell Their Senators

It is time for the Senate to help consumers in need of financial protections.
But some Senators are instead trying to block confirmation of a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director because they don't like the way the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is set up.
I swear those people on Capitol Hill are making me nuts.
Now is a great time to give your Senators a piece of your mind.
Here are the 3 things I told my Senators:
- Students and their families need help with their private student loans now.
- Richard Corday enjoys widespread bi-partisan support and is a strong candidate for Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau needs a Director to have full authority to stop deceptive practices involving private student loans, so stop this nonsense and confirm Richard Corday.
The full Senate is scheduled to vote on the confirmation of Richard Cordray as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau this Thursday, December 8, 2011.
My friends at the Project on Student Debt have made it easy for us to send email to our Senators, check it out here: http://projectonstudentdebt.org/letter_view.php?idx=32
